Ok, sorry for posting again - but I don't have an option to edit my previous post. How do I get permission to download anything? It seems right now it is disabled for me.

You need to validate your xenforo license and then react the resources you want to download ,also i thing download limit for normal user is only 2 file per 24 hours.

Are the settings and banners being kept when uninstalling or are they lost?

Sorry, but all banners will be lost.

Is there a way to export them or save them?

No ...
But, You may follow these steps!

• Upgrade the add-on.
• Make sure all Required fields are entered. (Like as banner title)
• Choose the correct user banner styling again from the user group.
• Let me know the result

AdminCP > Appearance > Styles > Your style - Style properties > [XTR] Unlimited User Group Banners > Enabled user banner text shadow You can deselect it.
